He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Ethel Rixon Eckel and Howard L. Eckel Sr.; his former wife Marjorie Eckel (Yetman); his brother Robert Eckel (Mary); his sons, Peter L. Eckel (Jennifer) and Jeffrey W. Eckel Jennifer E. (Kristyn); his grandchildren, Elizabeth Piotrowski, Maddy Eckel, Allison Stoner, Evan Stoner and Eleanor Eckel; his great great grandchildren, Charles, Calvin, Vivian and Graham; his nephews, Mark Eckel, Jim Eckel, Mark Miller and Andy Miller; his stepchildren, Diana Moore Means, Meredith Kobzik (Jay), Susan Webster Moore and John N. Moore (Sue); his wife Beth Furman Eckel; his brother John Eckel (Eileen); and also Sara Eckel.
