She was predeceased by: her parents, Dora Antoinette Dawson and Donald Steuart Dawson; and her husband George Elmer Stokes, Sr.. She is survived by: her children, Dora Greenwell-Beall (John), George Stokes, Jr. (Kim), Donald Stokes (Tina) and David Stokes (Amy); and her brother Dick Dawson (Liz). She is also survived by nieces and nephews, and her son and daughters-in-law.
A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, January 29th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Kalas Funeral Home & Crematory (2973 Solomons Island Rd, Edgewater, MD 21037). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 30th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Mayo United Methodist Church (1005 Old Turkey Point Rd, Edgewater, MD 21037).
