We are sad to announce that on January 19, 2025, at the age of 91, Donald K. Wood (Edgewater, Maryland) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, Donald shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Donald farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
He was predeceased by: his wife Dorothy "Dot" Wood; his stepchildren, William R. Smoot and Beverly Sears; and his siblings, George Wood, Alvin Wood and Frances Blades.
He is survived by: his stepchildren, Walter Smoot (Vickie) of Stevensville, MD and Barbara Nelson of Leesburg, VA; and his sisters, Catherine Phipps of Davidsonville, MD and Marie Elmer (Ed) of Augusta, WV. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
