He was predeceased by: his parents, Sherwood Johnson and Bessie Johnson; his former wife Fredella Johnson; his wife Dorothy Johnson; and his siblings, Anna Mae, Tomachia, Bernice, Florence and Addison.
He is survived by: his friends, Henry and Hallie Wilson; his former spouse Fredella Mae Norfleet; his daughters, Michele Johnson Canopii and Muriel Johnson; his stepsons, Montier Fisher (Cheryl) and Jeffery Fisher; his sisters-in-law, Viola Blake and Lavater Waters (Oliver); his grandchildren, Joshua, Tahira, Elijah (Lynna) and Nialena (Mohammad); his great grandchild Hakeem; and his niece Angela Baker (Russell). He is also survived by other nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
