It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Margaret Barkley of Eden, Maryland, born in Allen, Maryland, who passed away on October 7, 2021, at the age of 102, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Darie Polk and Fred Gunther; her husband Alex Barkley; her brothers, John, Lee and Atwood; her children, Fred, Herman, Oliver, John, Alphonso and Remonia; and her grandsons, Thomas Cottman and Donald Banks Jr..
She is survived by: her daughter Martha Cottman; her son-in-law Robert Finney; her grandchildren, Deborah, Faye, Edwin, Charmaine, Patricia, Linden, Elizabeth, Kevin, Denise and Michelle; her niece Peggy Gunther; her cousin Lottie Bivens; and her close friends, Eunice Morris and Alonzo Mills.
