It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Leonard Barrett of Eden, Maryland, who passed away on June 1, 2020, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Zephaniah Alexander Barrett and Louise Barrett (Graham); and his son Winston Barrett. He is survived by: his wife Virginia Barrett of Eden, Maryland; his children, Avis Forbes (Lennox) of Brooklyn, Bernice Williams (Melvin) of Salisbury, Renee Edmonds of Camden and Lonnie Frank Burke of Princess Anne, Maryland; and his grandchildren, Romeo Forbes of Brooklyn, Dean Forbes of Brooklyn, Dedra Forbes of Brooklyn, Rochelle Williams of Baltimore, Lonnie Burkes, Jr. of Richmond, Aeisha Burkes of Durham, Charde Burkes of Durham, Morielle Burkes of Durham, Marcus Burkes and Courtney Burkes of Princess Anne, Maryland. He is also survived by several great grandchildren; eleven siblings; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, other extended relatives and friends.
