He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Hairston and Sallie Hairston (Staples); his wife Eleanor Hairston of Birmingham, AL; and his siblings, Samuel Hairston and Sallie Bullock.
He is survived by: his children, Allen Hairston (Gail), William Hairston (Susy), Anne Hairston-Strang (Ray Strang) and Sallie Miller (Joe). He is also survived by eight grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Fellows, Helfenbein & Newnam Funeral Home (200 S Harrison St, Easton, MD 21601). A memorial service was held on Saturday, December 21st 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Christ Church (111 S Harrison St, Easton, MD 21601).
