She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Willis Long and Margie Virginia Baker; her husband John Monroe Howell; her siblings, Albert, Homer, Floyd, Conard, Anna Belle, Frances, Charlotte, Dorothy, Ward, Beulah, Ruth, Helen, Robert, Mildred and Clark; her son Ross J. Howell; her grandchildren, Teresa Lynn Howell, Stephen Howell II, Ryan Lee Howell, Tammy J. Howell-Smith and Susan Ann Lockhart; and her great grandchildren, Jonathan Fisher and Jesse Adelle Willis.
She is survived by: her sons, Robert Howell Sr. (Sandra) of Easton, Stephen Howell (Wanda) of Ridgely, George Howell (Carolyn) of Preston and Clark Howell (Mindy) of Trappe; and her grandchildren, Davina McCarty (Charles) of Federalsburg, Keri Howell, Robert Howell Jr., Melissa Creighton, Jennifer Howell, Heather Howell-Martin, James McCarty Jr. and David Lockhart. She is also survived by 13 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren and many step- great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, November 7th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Fellows, Helfenbein & Newnam Funeral Home (200 S Harrison St, Easton, MD 21601). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 9th 2024 at 11:00 AM at 9058 Double Hills Rd, Denton, MD 21629.
