She was predeceased by: her parents, Ottomar Manfred Gunther and Elfriede Annaliese Margarete Gunther; her husband Al Ireland; and her brother Harry Gunther. She is survived by: her sister Hannelore Messer (Jerry); her siblings-in-law, Sharon Ireland, Susan Covington, Joan Stover (Gene) and David Ireland; her children, Andy Gunther (Victoria) of Bremen, GA, Mike Ireland (Carolyn) of Elkton, MD and Mona Hutchison (Alan) of Cordova, MD.; her grandchildren, Christopher Wilson (Morgan), Jonathan Gunther (Brianna), AJ Hutchison (Lauren), Cody Hutchison, Adrianna Hutchison, Katelyn Ireland, Michaela Ireland, Evan Ireland and Justin "Tuffy" Hutchison; and her great grandchildren, Atlee Hutchison, Ella Hutchison and Cameron Gunther.
