He was predeceased by: his former wife Suzanne Newnam Towers; and his parents, George Cooper Towers, Sr. and Elizabeth Richardson Towers. He is survived by: his wife Sharon Clendaniel; his siblings, Paul Towers (Mary Jo), Betty Ann Woolford and Sharon Daffin; his children, George Cooper Towers III (Wendy) and Sheila Ann Herbert (Barry); his grandchildren, Christina, Carter and Cassidy Towers (Trevor); his stepchildren, Brittany Stevens, Ashley Elder (Seth), April Whaley (Ralph) and Sean Burgess (Jennifer); his stepgrandchildren, Nichole Thelen, Brooke Moore, Sophie Bleclic, Spencer, MacKenzie Whaley, Azariah, Jude, Silas, Charity, Enoch, Andrew, Hope, Faith Elder and Ian Burgess; his great grandchild William Valliant Towers; and his stepgreat-grandchildren, Addyson, Aubree Bleclic, Mason, Levi Moore and Reese Thelen.
With this in mind, in lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in George's honor to the Caroline County Humane Society, 407 West Belle St., Ridgley, MD 21660.
