He was predeceased by: his son Christopher Scott Wroten; his grandmothers, Anna Dawson and Patsy Campbell; and his stepfather Bobby Windsor. He is survived by: his parents, Donald M. Wroten, Sr. and Dawn DeRosier Windsor; his wife Galina Krestinskaya; his children, Kayla Wroten (Brandon), Donald M. Wroten III and Andrew Wroten (Crystal); his siblings, Larry Mohr (Julie) and Amy Mohr; and his stepsister Helen Foxwell. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles and cousins.
