He was predeceased by: his parents, Dr. Walter Edwin Gunby, Jr. and Marie Brock Gunby. He is survived by: his wife Carol A. Gunby; his son Jeffrey Linthicum (Mary Beth) of Woolford; his grandchildren, Jenna and Will Linthicum; and his brother Richard E. Gunby of Ashboro, NC..
