It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Raymond E. Mitchell of East New Market, Maryland, who passed away on September 30, 2021, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Joseph and Hilda Andrews Mitchell; his siblings, Marie Sharp, June Travers and Leonard Mitchell; and his son R. Stephen Mitchell.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Louise Mitchell; his daughter Brenda Nelson (Allen); his granddaughters, Sheri Aybar (Victor) of Manchester, Lisa Kumpar (Paul) of Westminster and Bobbie Jo Shorter of Cambridge; his great grandchildren, Paul Allen, Ryan Kumpar, Joshua, Jeremiah, Judah Aybar and Mitchell Shorter; and his sister-in-law Vivian Mitchell.
For health reasons face masks are suggested.
