She was predeceased by: her parents, Addison Murphy and Beatrice Richardson Murphy; her former husband Franklin A. Hughes; her husband William B. Edge; and her siblings, Katherine Hughes, Melvin Murphy, Donald Murphy, Kenneth Murphy, Robert "Jim" Murphy and Louise Hurley.

She is survived by: her children, Franklin Hughes, Jr., Mary Pinto (Robert) of Hebron and Joyce Webster (George) of North Carolina; her grandchildren, Doug Bowers, Bill Bowers, Joe Bowers, Cheryl Hughes and Jessica Thomas; and her brother Gene Murphy of Linkwood. She is also survived by numerous great grandchildren and great- great grandchildren.
