He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, William Ernest and Ruth M. Chaney (Hauser); his wife Susan B. Chaney; his children, Elizabeth A. Antoniolli (Paul) of Aquasco, Robert W. Chaney of West Virginia, Charles Michael Chaney of Oregon, Dawn D. Chaney of Mechanicsville and Heather Chaney-Frye of Pooler, GA.; his sisters, Jean Chaney Touchette of Burlington, NC, Patricia Chaney O'Brien of Dunkirk and Sherry Marie Clark (Bill) of Dunkirk; and his son William E. Chaney III. He was also cherished by 13 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren.
