John Paul Sherkus Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of John Paul Sherkus of Dunkirk, Maryland, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 12, 2025 at the age of 74. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Joan Kazakevicius Sherkus and Paul Joseph Sherkus; and his sister MaryAnn. He is survived by: his wife Phyllis; his sisters, Patricia (Dan) and Judith; and his nieces and nephews, Adam Bubniak (Adriana), Joel Bagley, Isaiah (Chise), Amy Bagley and Clare Bubniak Olson (Robbert).
Viewing was held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Lee Funeral Home (8200 Jennifer Ln, Owings, MD 20736). A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Tuesday, March 18th 2025 at 11:15 AM at the Maryland Veterans Cemetery - Cheltenham (11301 Crain Hwy, Cheltenham, MD 20623).
