He was loved and cherished by many people including: his spouse Beverly Ann Slayton; his brother William Dean Slayton; his children, Renee Yvette Richardson, Bobbie Paula Barton and Carla Kay Slayton; his stepchildren, Barry Lee Murphy and Kimberly Ann Murphy; and his grandchildren, Brian Keith Richardson, Joshua Lee Slayton, Nicolette Felicia Barton, Crystal Lynn Wood and Kristi Richardson. He was also cherished by 12 great-grandchildren.
