She was predeceased by: her husband Robert Spence Harner; her grandson Emerson Spence Armiger; her sister Janice Sama Lawrence; and her parents, Bernice Nastalski Sama and Mario Alfred Sama.
She is survived by: her sister Jacqueline Sama Ey; her daughters, Donna Harner Stone (Harrison Stone) and Debbie Harner (Danny Sarubin); and her grandchildren, Sophie Armiger, Leland Armiger and E. Harrison.
In lieu of flowers, gifts in memory of Joyce Harner may be directed to support the Children's Heart Program at the University of Maryland Medical System Foundation.
