She is survived by: her daughters, Jerrell Phoebe and Serena Heather Crumlin; her siblings, Benjamin Keith, Jr. Carter (Carolyn), Rhonda Hopson (Roy) and Toya Butler (Benjamin); her nieces and nephews, Rodney Doss, Ruston Hopson, Benjamin Carter III, Kierra Carter, Natalie and Whitney Butler; her aunts and uncles, Barbara Ann Jameson, Mary Christine Proctor, Ruby Thomas (James), Elwood and William Brown (Wendy); and her close friends, Dale Marshall and Karen King.
She received several accolades, acknowledgements, awards, and certificates for her outstanding contributions to the mission of the Department of Navy.
