We are sad to announce that on February 16, 2023, at the age of 72, Melvin Rush Jr. (District Heights, Maryland) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his mother Frances Rush,; his son Ivan Rush; and his sister Frances Rush. He is survived by: his wife Valerie Norris Rush; his siblings, Donald Rush (Gail), Jeffrey Rush (Cheryl), Shelby Harris (Myron) and Margaret Rush; his stepson Damion Norris; and his sister Donna. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

During the pandemic, they played board games and would hand-dance and "Bop" to the "oldies" all night.
