He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Piazza and Catherine Piazza (Galeano); his sister Margaret Ellis; and his son Jimmy Piazza. He is survived by: his wife Georgene Nau; his grandchildren, Matthew, Katie Piazza, David, Marie Russell (Garzon), Kristin, Michael, Stephanie Beall, Anthony Piazza, Zachary, Dominic, Joseph Piazza, Mia, Meghan Piazza, Isabel and Christopher Piazza; his great grandchildren, Caroline, Paul and Natalie Piazza; his grandchildren, Colton, Wyatt, Brayden Russell, Adam, Allison Russell and Ronnie Tippett; and also, John Piazza (Regina), Monica Piazza, Ann Beall, Michael Piazza (Stacey), Stephen Piazza, Vincent Piazza (Anne) and Angelo Piazza (Beth).
