He was predeceased by: his daughter Gail Renee McCain; and his brother James Garnett. He is survived by: his wife Dolores; his children, Gerry Garnett (Patricia), Timothy Garnett (Norita), Michael (Melinda) of Washington, Mark (Audrey) of Washington, Matthew (Timeka) of Washington and Michelle McBride; and his sisters, Jeanice of Washington and Agnes Addison. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren.
