He was predeceased by: his parents, Clifford Cox and Mattie Ruth Cox; and his siblings, Clifford, Thomas, Willie and Mary Cox.
He is survived by: his wife Janet Cox; his son Michael Lovelace (Lisa); his nephew Clifford Cox (Melissa); and his siblings, Virginia Brown, Ruth Cox-Owens, John Cox (Nancy), Julia Jones (Ernest) and Joyce Cox.
