She was predeceased by: her husband James Robert Tapscott; her parents, Jacob Miller and Maggie Miller; her siblings, Ted Lowry, Henry Miller and Mary Harrell; and her grandsons, Jacob Smith and Lucas Tapscott.
She is survived by: her children, Martha "Marti" Tapscott Skogebo (Allen), Robert "Sonny" Tapscott (Linda), Rosemary Tapscott Smith (Larry) and John Jacob Tapscott (Mindy). She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, and 4 great-great grandchildren.
The church was the foundation of Ruth's family.
