As Richard Michael departs from our midst, his spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Richard Michael. Though Richard Michael may no longer walk beside us, his legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Hershey and Helen Marie Weddle (Fisher); and his son Richard Joseph Hershey. He is survived by: his daughter Jill Gillette (Jeffery) of Frederick, MD; his brother Donald Hershey (Amity) of Bethesda, MD; and his grandchildren, Rachel and Taylor Gillette. He is also survived by cousins, extended family and friends.
Memorial contributions may be made in Richard's name to the Wounded Warrior Project or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
