He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold J. and Elizabeth Y. Burke. He is survived by: his wife Diane Henriksen; his children, David and Michele; his brother Peter; his children-in-law, Marina and Asoka; and his granddaughters, Sophia and Anna.

Visitation was held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the Redland Baptist Church (6922 Muncaster Mill Rd, Derwood, MD 20855). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
