He was predeceased by: his parents, Morris Thaniel Hutt and Neva Frances Wright Hutt of Virginia; his sister Patricia Donzelle Joyner; his brother-in-law Norman Joyner (Bubby); and his cousin Maria G. Wright.
He is survived by: his daughter Dr. Markiya Nichols; his wife Mary Ellen; his daughters, Dr. Markyia Nichols, Sheree Stewart and Kimberly Stewart Lawhorne; his siblings, Robert Davis (Bobby), Sonja Brown and Bernadette Connell; and his brothers-in-law, James Brown and Randall Connell (Randy). He is also survived by other nieces, nephews, and special friends.
