It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joseph F. Shortall Jr. of Denton, Maryland, born in Ridgely, Maryland, who passed away on April 21, 2024, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Shortall Sr. and Nellie Shortall; his wife Connie Stoops Shortall; his sister Andrea Shortall; his nieces, Amy Stoops Rhodes and Joelle Wharton; and his brother-in-law Butch Stoops.
He is survived by: his sons, Bret Shortall (Jennifer) of Denton and Bart Shortall (Angie) of Denton; his grandchildren, Alyssa Passwaters (Keith), Brady Shortall, Megan Kosick (Joe) and Emily Shortall; his great grandchild Everly Passwaters; his siblings, Ronnie Shortall (Donna), Phil Shortall and Alicia Wharton (Eric); his sister-in-law Barbara Stoops; his nieces and nephews, Ron Jr., Dawn of Jan, J. P., Loren, Allison of Chris, EJ, Kyle and Ryan; and also, Wayne, Wendy Moore and Bosserman (Buddy Jarrell).
