He is survived by: his cousin James; his wife Esther Nichols of Denton, Maryland.; his children, James Carlette Nichols, Jr. (Selma), Christine Nichols Scott (Phillip Liffridge), Pamela Hughes (Wayne) and Pearl Johnson; and his siblings, Nettie Johnson, Doretha Alexander, Norma Jean Hughes, Betty Jean Murray, Ray Nichols (Dorothy) and Earl Nichols (Sally). He is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, two special grandsons, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation was held on Sunday, January 12th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Denton Church of Free Seventh Day Adventists (401 Aldersgate Dr, Denton, MD 21619). A funeral service was held on Sunday, January 12th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
