She was predeceased by: her parent Carroll Forrest Peirce. She is survived by: her parent Grace Helen Ivers Peirce; her husband William Austin Dempsey Jr; her children, Susan D. Somers (Jay) of Washington, D. C., Robert Dempsey (Rose Marie) and William A. Dempsey III (Ellen); her grandchildren, Scott Dempsey (Maria), Bryan Dempsey (Michelle), Kate Walton (Eric), Zachary Somers and Kai Beil (Michael); and her great grandchildren, Mac, Clara, Owen, Laura, Jake, Nathan, Angelina and William.
