With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Otis Washington Downes Jr. of Delmar, Maryland, born in Salisbury, Maryland, who passed away on November 15, 2020 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Otis Downes of Centreville, MD and Mattie Downes of Dames Quarters, MD.; his son Gregory Downes; and his sister Diane Downes. He is survived by: his children, Vanessa M. Downes of Fort Washington, MD, Debbie Smiley (Michael) of Salisbury, MD, Jaenell Downes (Kathy) of Salisbury, MD and Jessica Downes Taylor (Van) of Delmar, MD.; his nephew Otis W. Downes (Willow Mae) of Salisbury, MD; his daughter-in-law Cindy Downes; his grandchildren, Dawn Mitchell, Lamont Downes, Jade Maria Collins, Marcus Smiley, Ashley Gattis and Van Taylor Jr.; his former wife Wanda Downes; and his close friend Lisa Gonzales. He is also survived by several great-grandchildren.
