He was predeceased by: his parents, Olin E. Hunter Carey and Ada Mae Bensel Carey; and his siblings, Millard Coffin, Sr. and Ethel Long. He is survived by: his wife Sharon Rose Abbott Carey; his daughter Kelly Ann Carey; his brother John Parker Carey; his stepson Jonathan E. Abbott; his aunt Barbara Ross; and his cousins, Jeff and Terry Morris.
