He was predeceased by: his mother Essie Collins Byrd Landon; and his stepfather Leroy Landon. He is survived by: his wife Mariellen Dryden Byrd of Delmar; his daughters, Veronica Byrd of Delmar, Vonny Byrd and Bo Riley of Greenbackville, VA; his grandchildren, Joseph, Jerry and Rosalee; and his sister Virginia Landon Tyler of Salisbury. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
