We are sad to announce that on November 27, 2021, at the age of 79, Virginia Madeline Wathen of Davidsonville, Maryland, born in San Diego, California passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, LaRue Charles Slack and Evelyn Hamlin Slack; and her husband Henry "Bud" Wathen. She is survived by: her children, Michael Wathen (Sandie) of Denver, CO and Amy Park (Scott) of Stevensville, MD; her sister Teresa Riggins (James); her stepdaughters, Debbie Null (Eddie), Kathy Hill (Shephard), Lynn Hocketstaller (Walter) and Julie Kunzle (Chris); her niece Karen; and her nephew Brian.

The family requests in lieu of flowers memorial contributions be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or http://www.stjude.org.
