He was predeceased by: his parents, Benjamin James and Mary Elizabeth James. He is survived by: his wife Frances R. James; his children, John R. James, Jr. of College Park, MD, Francis B. James of Carbondale, PA, Wayne M. James of Berlin, MD, Barbara A. Davis of Davidsonville, MD and Jennifer J. Diatz of Frederick, MD; his brother Edward James of Blakely, PA; and his grandchildren, Christopher, Robert, John James, Raymond Davis, IV, David, Kathleen Diatz, Shelly Griffith, Jennifer Hudson and Annie Zelechowski. He is also survived by 14 great-grandchildren.
