He was predeceased by: his wife Carol Cave; and his children, Hubert L. Cave, III (Butch) and Nancy Basham. He is survived by: his daughters, Diane Cave of Davidsonville and Jean Teetsell (Dale) of Davidsonville; his grandchildren, Michael Staples, Jr. (Katy) and Raquel Cave; and his great grandchild Kinlee Staples.
A celebration of life was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Kalas Funeral Home & Crematory (2973 Solomons Island Rd, Edgewater, MD 21037). A funeral Mass was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Holy Family Catholic Church (826 W Central Ave, Davidsonville, MD 21035).
