In the vast expanse of eternity, James shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid James farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James Kermit Laird, Sr. and Hazel Mae Laird (Harkins); and his brother Donald Laird. He is survived by: his wife Ella Mae Laird (Hughes); his children, Patricia Dawn Dunn (Joe) of Street, MD, Craig Laird (Patty) of Darlington, MD and Stephanie Vaughn (Chad) of Street, MD; his grandchild Kaitlin Dunn (Will Frauenfelder) of Falls Church, VA; and his children, Daniel Vaughn of Street, MD. and Emily Vaughn of Street, MD..
