He was predeceased by: his parents, Hebdina Pumphrey (Ansmink) and Dorothy E. Pumphrey (Portaszkiewicz); and his brother Earl Roger Pumphrey. He is survived by: his daughters, Denise Patrick (John) of Darlington and Cindy Riemer of Westminster; and his grandchildren, Emily (Matthew), Hana, Devin and Garrett.

In lieu of flowers contributions in his memory may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 1850 York Rd. Ste. D, Timonium, MD 21093.
