With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Troy Elliott Young in Damascus, Maryland, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 12, 2025 at the age of 45. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the sacred silence of farewell, Troy is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that his light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of his loved ones. And as his memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Troy's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Donald Young, Katherine McShann and Sam Profit. He is survived by: his parents, Tammee Young and Derrick McShann; his wife Jody Young; his son Elijah Young; his grandmother Florence Williams; and his siblings, Tory Young, Quintin McShann and Deja McShann.
Visitation was held on Monday, February 17th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Church of the Redeemer-South Chapel (19425 Woodfield Rd, Gaithersburg, MD 20879). A funeral service was held on Monday, February 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM and at 1:00 PM.
