We are sad to announce that on March 17, 2023, at the age of 90, Scott M. Whitworth of Damascus, Maryland, born in Norbeck, Maryland passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William James and Helen Whitworth; his brother William "Bud" Whitworth (Joan) of Elk Garden, WV; his grandson Kevin Whitworth of Brunswick, MD; his siblings, June Stiles (Frank), Dorothy Cole (Jack), Elsie Fisher (Robert), Mary Kinder (James), Betty Hamilton, George Whitworth (Wilma) and Johnny Whitworth; and his brothers-in-law, Nunziato Masten, Karl Rudder and Stuart Wright.
He is survived by: his spouse Jean Umberger; his children, Dawna Whitworth of Clarksburg, MD, Eugene Whitworth (Gina) of Martinsburg, WV, Craig Whitworth (Kelly) of Conway, AR, Andrew Whitworth (Becki) of Knoxville, MD and Brett Whitworth (Sherry) of Mount Airy, MD.; his siblings, Charles Whitworth of Damascus, MD, Gladys Masten of Elkridge, MD, Nancy Whitworth of Elkridge, MD and Lucy Rudder of Bland, VA; and his siblings-in-law, Beulah Whitworth of Springfield, WV and Kenny Hamilton (Melvin Wright) of Gaithersburg, MD. He is also survived by Eleven grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made, in remembrance of Scott, to the Germantown Baptist Church 17640 Riffle Ford Road, Germantown, Maryland 20874.
