He was predeceased by: his parents, Dr. Vinayaka Rao and Subhadramba Ganti. He is survived by: his wife Usha Ganti; his daughters, Aparna (Abel) and Suji; and his siblings, Lakshmana Rao Ganti and Sundari Nukala. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
