With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Mary Jeffers Young of Damascus, Maryland, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. She was predeceased by: her parents, Richard W. Jeffers and Blanche P. Poole Jeffers; her brothers, Richard Jeffers and Daniel Jeffers; her siblings-in-law, Dean Wilkinson, Dennis Allnutt, Michael Young, Loretta Jeffers and Alexis Young; and her nephew Ricky Jeffers.
She is survived by: her spouse Thomas Slade Young; her sons, Adam and Andrew Young; her siblings, David Jeffers (Kathy), Eleanor Wilkinson, Nancy Allnutt and Barbara Richards; her uncle Mark Jeffers (Betty); her mother-in-law June Young; and her brother-in-law Jerry Young. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, neighbors.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Hilton Funeral Home (22111 Beallsville Rd, Barnesville, MD 20838). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Dickerson United Methodist Church (20331 Dickerson Church Rd, Dickerson, MD 20842). A graveside service will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 at the Monocacy Cemetery (19801 W Hunter Rd, Beallsville, MD 20839).
In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made in her memory to the Dickerson United Methodist Church.
