Jean Arlean Whitworth Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jean Arlean Whitworth of Damascus, Maryland, born in Ceres, Virginia, who passed away on November 21, 2022, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Eugene Umberger and Dorothy Umberger; her sister Joan Whitworth (William "Bud") of Elk Garden, WV; her grandson Kevin Whitworth of Brunswick, MD; her stepfather Fletcher Wright; her stepbrother Stuart Wright; and her sisters-in-law, June Stiles (Frank), Dorothy Cole (Jack), Elsie Fisher (Robert), Mary Kinder (James) and Betty Hamilton.

She is survived by: her husband Scott Whitworth; her children, Dawna Whitworth of Clarksburg, MD, Eugene Whitworth (Gina) of Martinsburg, WV, Craig Whitworth (Kelly) of Conway, AR, Andrew Whitworth (Becki) of Knoxville, MD and Brett Whitworth (Sherry) of Mount Airy, MD.; her sister Karen Harman (Randy) of Bland, VA; her stepbrother Melvin Wright of Hagerstown, MD; her siblings-in-law, Charles Whitworth of Damascus, MD, Kenny Hamilton of Gaithersburg, MD, Gladys Masten of Elkridge, MD, Nancy Whitworth of Elkridge, MD, Lucy Rudder of Bland, VA, Beulah Whitworth of Springfield, WV and Evelyn Byrd Long of Elliston, VA; her close friend Virginia Miller; and her brothers-in-law, George Whitworth (Wilma), Johnny Whitworth, Nunziato Masten and Karl Rudder. She is also survived by Eleven grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
