She was predeceased by: her father Walter Donald; and her sister Karen Thorns. She is survived by: her mother Suzanne Thorns of Boyds, MD; her pet Bailey; her daughters, Caroline Halligan (Patrick) of Silver Spring, MD and Sarah McKay of Baltimore, MD; her sister Kathy Temp of Easton, MD; and her grandson Luke. She is also survived by several cousins, and a niece and nephew.
