She was predeceased by: her parents, Dean W. Gates and Adelaide C. Gates (McConnell). She is survived by: her husband James P. Footen; her daughter Kathryn J. Runk (Morgan); her son-in-law Chris Morgan (Elizabeth A. Footen); her grandchildren, Jerica B. Runk, Alexis S. Morgan, Amber Gibner and Haliey Gibner; her great grandchildren, Isaha Barnes, Natalie Barnes, Amya Barnes and Khi'Heem Cole-Weedon; and her close friends, Kowalski, Donna Lehman and Janie Karr.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 24th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Scarpelli Funeral Home (108 Virginia Ave, Cumberland, MD 21502). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Mary's Catholic Church (300 E Oldtown Rd, Cumberland, MD 21502).
