She was predeceased by: her parents, Irving Shives and Edna Thompson (Faith); her former husband Joseph William Rice; her husband Lindy Ellis DeShong; her son Joseph William Rice, Jr.; her half-brother Harold Shives; and her son-in-law Raymond Martin.
She is survived by: her children, Diana Martin and Keith Rice (Denise); her grandchildren, Shane Martin (Sheena), Brison Martin (Shannon), Bradley Martin (Caitlin), Katie Mallow (Levi) and Keith Rice, Jr. (Chloe); and her great grandchildren, Laina, Ava, Aubrey Martin, Luke, Rhyan, Hudson Martin, Keith Rice III, Carson Rice, Weston and Emily Mallow. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
