He was predeceased by: his parents, William "Billy" Cassell and Janet Cassell (Herring); and his brother Edward David Cassell. He is survived by: his niece Kimberly Jackson; his wife Cindy Cassell; his children, Megan Cassell (Jorge), Sarah Brooks (Jordan) and Richard Cassell (Danielle); his grandchildren, Alex, Angel, Aaliyah, Kaden, Kamden, Jalen, Reagan, Nora and Levi; his sister Deborah Erickson (Reed); his sister-in-law Vicki Cassell; and his in-laws, Dick and Shirley Robinson.
