It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Marteni Mary Mayo of Cumberland, Maryland, who passed away on December 4, 2024, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. In the vast expanse of eternity, Marteni shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Marteni farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
She is survived by: her children, Roy Steele, Melissa Pierre and Sonya Steele; her grandchildren, Christopher Scott, Shawnta Harris, Dakota Burns, Andrew Lockley and Anthony Steele; and her siblings, Sherri Weasenforth, Frank McKenzie Jr., Kenny Grabenstein and Michael Grabenstein. She is also survived by eleven great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter.
Visitation was held on Saturday, December 7th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Durst Funeral Home (57 Frost Ave, Frostburg, MD 21532). A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 7th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
