He was predeceased by: his parents, John Gibson and Ruby Lee Gibson; his mother-in-law Verna Shadwell; and his siblings, Willard, Earl, Virginia, Maxine, Lilly of Donna, T. C. and Johnny.
He is survived by: his wife Brenda Gibson (Shadwell); his children, Philip Gibson, Christie Gibson and Heather Gibson; his brother Michael Gibson; his sister-in-law Marsha Kammauf; his grandchildren, Josiah, Christian, Mark Jr., Rainey, Jasmine, Brenda, Bianca, Samson and Devyn; and his great grandchildren, Klaudya, Zoiey, Evelyn, Abigail, Lennox, Bryar and Khaleesi. He is also survived by extended family including many nieces, and nephews.
