He was predeceased by: his parents, James Henry McRoy, Sr. and Georgie "Christine" McRoy; his wife Patricia Twyman-McRoy; his daughter Tira McRoy; his brother-in-law Melvin Matthews; and his sister Gloria "Jeannie" Matthews.
He is survived by: his children, Chiffon and James Henry McRoy, III; his grandchildren, Terrance, Lamont, Lamar, Keyonna, Kyla, Kaylin, Khloe, Tiara, Timothy, Tyrone McRoy, Teneisha Richburg (Amahd), Cheyenne Downie and Kevin King; his great grandchildren, Zane, Kian, Reign, Amari McRoy, Areyana Ottley and Tyjaun Simmons; and his siblings, Daniel and Cassandra McRoy. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
